And then there is the problem of Lauren Boebert. While Boebert may not seem as important as many of the issues at stake in 2024, she actually is. If a person this toxic, this disconnected from their constituents, and this brazen can keep a grip on power, however loose, then it truly spells trouble for our democratic system. That’s right—Members of Congress who serve at least five years are eligible for a pension. However…if we do everything we can to defeat Boebert this election, she will fall just one year short of being eligible for that sweet, sweet congressional pension. So close! Yet so far.
