As
established by the Washington State Republican Party, the Republican
precinct caucus for Clark County will be held on Saturday,
February
29, 2020 at 10:00 AM.
The caucus is the single largest venue for interested Republicans to
influence the direction of the local Republican Party, and to present
ideas for the party platform. CCRP is unique from other county
parties because anyone who presents platform suggestion(s) is invited
to be on the CCRP Platform Committee.
Attendees
at the Republican caucus will be asked to sign a statement that they
consider themselves Republicans and will not participate in any other
party's caucus or convention.
Interested
voters should look up their precinct number
at https://wsrp.org/caucus
based on their address to find their precinct number and determine
which caucus location they should attend.
The
CCRP county convention will be held on Saturday,
April 4, 2020,
at Washougal High School 10:00 AM. At the county convention,
attendees will discuss and vote on proposed changes, if any, to the
local party platform. Additionally, county convention attendees will
vote for delegates to attend the state convention on May
14-16, 2020, in Everett, Washington. At
the state convention, delegates will choose presidential electors as
well as delegates to attend the national convention on August
24-27, 2020, Charlotte, North Carolina,
who will then nominate President Trump.
