Hi John,

Our upcoming event with Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, Senator Louise Lucas and Delegate Angela Williams-Graves and others is all about centering the voice of women leaders. Especially when it comes to the future of women’s rights and reproductive health. To say that I’m honored to be a part of this event is an understatement. 

The future of women’s rights may very well lie in Virginia’s hands. We’re currently the only state in the South that protects women’s reproductive health and other states are taking notice. Every day women and their families are looking to Virginia to get the care they need. If Democrats lose this election, it’s possible that Virginia may start turning those women away. And that is truly dangerous.

I was raised by a single mother who believed in me and a grandmother who tragically passed away at the young age of 49 due to breast cancer – I know the strength that women possess which is why I am willing to fight for a future in which their rights are protected and the choice for what to do with their bodies is left to them.
