When Kentucky was devastated by tornadoes that ripped through the state in 2021, Americares deployed an emergency response team, delivered relief supplies and partnered with local health partners to assist communities that were hit hardest.
Last year, Hurricane Ian pummeled Florida and left thousands of families in dire need in its wake. Americares rushed 8 tons of medical supplies and provided emergency funding, which helped local mobile clinics hire surge staffing to support the medically vulnerable community and help them recover from the damage and destruction.
And just days ago, Americares deployed an emergency response team to deliver urgent medical supplies and health care services to survivors of Typhoon Doksuri in the Philippines despite life-threatening flooding, landslides and storm surges up to 10 feet high.
