The White House and the DNC have been touting this chart on job creation – purportedly showing that none other than Joe Biden is the greatest job creator of all time. It’s gone viral all over the internet. Look, Ma! Bidenomics is working!
Except Biden isn’t counting NEW jobs. He’s counting the jobs that existed during the Trump presidency and were temporarily closed during COVID but reappeared when the economy reopened. That was more than two-thirds of the job “creation” under Biden. Trump’s job record after 30 months in office was 46,000 per month HIGHER than Biden’s – or by 36%.
The Real Story on Biden Job Creation
There’s an old saying in statistics that you can torture data until it confesses. The Biden people are experts at this.
We got some pushback from readers last week in response to our prediction that the climate change crazies will soon be requiring us to turn out the lights and will control thermostat settings in private homes. Some skeptics (and we’re glad they are out there to keep us honest), accused us of "fear-mongering." Surely no one in the climate change movement is so diabolical that they would WANT blackouts.
But then another reader sent us these headlines from major newspapers in London and South Africa – both published in recent months. So you can judge for yourself whether blackouts and energy rationing are part of the master plan to save the planet:
The lead of the piece advises: "Second World War-style rationing of petrol, household energy and meat could help to fight climate change, British scientists have recommended."
And then there was this headline from South Africa applauding blackouts:
Makes one wonder how much we could reduce greenhouse gases if we shutdown our power plants completely.
3) Biden Gets a Corvette but You Can’t Have a Gas-Powered Car
Speaking of reducing carbon emissions, great headline from our friends at the Daily Signal:
"The Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed de facto electric vehicle mandate would force auto manufacturers to make nearly 70% of their new automobiles electric by 2032," the article notes.

If you want a car with a combustion engines, get ‘em now while you still can.
Speaking of gas cars, it only took 72 years, but Oregon drivers can finally pump their own gas without having to wait for the increasingly rare gas station attendant to do it for them. And to pay more.
Back in the 1950s, Oregon lawmakers outlawed self-serve. As with many dubious regulations, it was justified on safety grounds. Drivers were supposedly at “increased risk of personal injury resulting from slipping on slick surfaces" and an "increased risk of crime." (How many people do you know who have been injured pumping their own gas?) In reality, some smaller station owners just wanted to block bigger stations from offering discounts for motorists pumping their own gas.
Today, unions are the big opponents of consumer choice with one implausibly claiming self-serve will be a “blatant cash grab for large corporations.” They were able to water down the reform by requiring that half the pumps at every station must still be full-service.
New Jersey now stands alone in mandating full-service gas-pumping, with its ban going into effect back in 1949.
Of course, in a few years, it will all be moot because we won’t be allowed to pump ANY gas into our cars – and now you will have to wait hours to charge up. This is progress?
