One value I’m proud our City shares?

New York City’s commitment to raising money for political campaigns the right way.

If you didn’t already know, the City’s campaign finance board prohibits contributions from businesses or LLCs, and limits individual contributions to $2,100.

These are great measures put in place to mitigate the influence of special interests on elections, and for overall transparency.

But I’m going a step further.

I do not accept campaign contributions from the following:

As New York City’s Comptroller, I’m committed to good government and a campaign free from influence.

Sure, a gigantic check from a corporate lobbyist is an easy way for some candidates to raise money.

But I’m not beholden to special interests.

Instead, I rely on every day New Yorkers who care about our communities and shared future.
