NAFCU and CUNA wrote to the CFPB Monday calling on the bureau to delay the small business lending data reporting rule for credit unions. The rule implements section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act and would require banks to collect data on small businesses that apply for loans.
NAFCU held an in-person all-staff meeting Monday, during which CUNA President and CEO Jim Nussle joined NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger to answer employees’ questions about the proposed merger to America’s Credit Unions.
CUNA President and CEO Jim Nussle and NAFCU President and CEO Dan Berger issued a joint statement in response to the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Fund’s Community Development Advisory Board’s Final and Approved CDFI Certification Recommendations adopted last week. The board’s memorandum echoes concerns and recommendations regarding the proposed changes to the CDFI Fund’s Certification Application and Agreement jointly submitted by CUNA and NAFCU in advance of the meeting.
