John,

Emperor penguins are vanishing before our eyes. The colony featured in the movie "March of the Penguins" has already been cut in half, and heartbreakingly, the world's second-largest emperor penguin colony at Halley Bay has nearly disappeared. If these beloved creatures don't get help soon, they could go extinct this century.

Tell the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service that emperor penguins urgently need endangered species protection before it's too late.

Right now these iconic birds are being hit from all sides by climate change. Penguins depend on sea ice for breeding and raising their chicks — but as the ice melts, the chicks are drowning by the thousands. And warming ocean temperatures and ocean acidification threaten the penguins' food supply.

To turn things around will take a huge drop in carbon pollution — but Trump and the fossil fuel industry are taking us in exactly the wrong direction.

The Center for Biological Diversity recently sued the feds for missing a deadline to make a key decision on protections for the penguins. Please, add your voice to our call to help save these penguins, who, like polar bears, have no time to wait.

Act now to insist that the Service end its delays and protect emperor penguins.
