We are excited to announce that Joshua Cole and Lashrecse Aird will be joining us for a fundraiser on September 6! 

Democrats need to pick up just a few seats to flip the House of Delegates BLUE and Joshua's district is CRITICAL. 

We need Lashrecse to help maintain the slim majority in the Virginia State Senate and protect reproductive rights and progressive values.

AND THEY BOTH NEED YOUR SUPPORT!!!

Joshua Cole knows not only what challenges people face in Fredericksburg and Stafford County, but also what it means to truly serve his constituents. In 2019, he became the youngest person and first Black person elected from the Fredericksburg region to serve in the Virginia House of Delegates. Passionate about improving public schools and investing in our children’s education, affordable housing, and making Fredericksburg better for both its current citizens and the next generation, Joshua is ready to once again serve Virginia. 

Lashrecse Aird is running in the newly-drawn 13th District in the Virginia State Senate. Lashrecse served three terms in the VA House of Delegates and was the leader in passing Breonna’s Law in Virginia, which banned the use of no-knock warrants. In the Democratic primary, Aird defeated an anti-choice Democrat and will be a staunch advocate to protect reproductive freedom in Virginia.

The event will be held from 6-8 pm at the Woman’s National Democratic Club (WNDC) in Dupont Circle in collaboration with a host committee from WNDC.  Hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available (suggested donation $50-$100).
