Dear Friend,
Democracy is upheld when every voter has the information and
tools they need to make informed decisions. We
have knocked on 73,904 doors educating people about tomorrow's special
election; why they should vote against Issue 1; and explaining their
options to vote.
Thank you to everyone who
has already voted!
If you haven’t yet voted, please make sure to do so
tomorrow. As of Friday, the statewide
total of early in-person and absentee ballots cast since June 23 was
578,490.
Tomorrow is the big day, and democracy itself is on the
ballot! Your contribution today will help us make that final push to
engage voters and ensure every voice is heard at the polls. Your
donation matters now more than ever!
Friend, your contribution ensures our team can
reach as many voters as possible. Please act now to keep
democracy alive in Ohio >>
With your help, we’ll be able to invest in strategies that
strengthen democratic processes, transparency, and accountability
within the state, ensuring a brighter future for all
Ohioans.
The fate of democracy in Ohio hangs in
the balance
Sam Levine, a reporter from The Guardian canvassed with
our own Sarah Strinka to hear what Ohio voters were saying about Issue
1:
“It seems like a very dirty trick
to try and not get a major issue like this pushed through in an August
election,” said Matt Jackson-McCabe, one of the voters who Strinka
talked to. “I was like, ‘This is bullshit.’
Canvassing with the Mayor
Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb led our
canvass team as we talked to voters in Ward 1 about the importance of
voting no.
Our Columbus crew attended a standing
room only rally at the IBEW Local 683 with former Republican
Attorney General Betty Montgomery and former Governor Ted
Strickland.
We really needed these boosts to keep us
going for the last few days of the campaign. It gave us some added
momentum!
Thank you and see you at the
polls!
