The Mexico Institute will host Mexico’s former Secretary of Economy and current federal deputy Ildefonso Guajardo at the Wilson Center’s 6th Floor Flom Auditorium on Wednesday, August 16 from 10:00am to 11:00am EST. In-person and virtual attendance will be available.
Dr. Guajardo will discuss the process to be used by the opposition coalition, the Frente Amplio por Mexico, to select its 2024 presidential candidate and the coalition’s plans for governing, if elected. Given his past role, Dr. Guajardo will also comment on the implementation of USMCA and will share his views on the future of US-Mexico bilateral relations. This presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
