John,

Economic justice starts with fair pay. That's why I've stood with working Oregonians on many fronts to fight against exploitation in the workplace.

While I'm committed to fighting for Oregon's working families as the People's Lawyer, we need to demand more from our lawmakers. Among the simplest policies to ensure economic justice is to establish a fair national minimum wage. Sign the petition and urge Congress to raise the federal minimum wage.

You don't have to be an economist to see one of the biggest problems facing our economy today: wages haven't kept up with inflation and overall growth. As the pie grows, so should the average wage earner's slice. Too many people who work for a living still struggle to feed themselves and keep roofs over their heads.

While we've made some marked progress in Oregon, we need to come together as a country and demand Congress raise the minimum wage, something it hasn't done in more than a decade. Sign the petition and urge Congress to raise the federal minimum wage.

I'm standing for justice and equality with leaders across the country to raise the national minimum wage. Stand with me by signing the petition to demand that Congress take action.

Ellen
