Both Donald Trump and Mike Pence are in Colorado to campaign for Republican Senator Cory Gardner and against my good friend John Hickenlooper, who is running to defeat him and flip this seat blue.

This is the beginning of a new effort to tear down John's growing campaign for U.S. Senate. There's no doubt in my mind that Trump will attack him personally and those attacks will be amplified by Mitch McConnell's dark money donor network.

The truth is, Trump and McConnell know Colorado is one of the top opportunities for Democrats to flip a Republican-held seat and key to taking back the majority. And political insiders like Nate Silver's FiveThirtyEight and POLITICO know it, too. That's why Trump promised to visit Colorado "a lot" — and now, he's fulfilling that promise (hey, there's a first time for everything!).

Listen, we have to help John fight back today. Trump and McConnell's attack machine is breaking fundraising records left and right, and the only way John can counter them is by collecting as many grassroots donations as possible.
