Friend, communities need resources to thrive. Yet the U.S. government spends billions each year enforcing failed drug war policies which are ruining lives.
It’s time to end the drug war and reinvest the money into better approaches to support our communities. Instead of wasting money on enforcement, arrest, and incarceration, resources should be used to address the root causes of problematic drug use and enact evidence-based, health solutions that save lives.
People struggling with addiction need services and social supports. And communities that have been most harmed by the drug war deserve investments to repair the damage.
