Dear Friend,
This Sunday will be 100 days until the primary election in D.C., where our chapter has endorsed Janeese Lewis George for the Ward 4 council race. To celebrate the 100-day mark, Janeese is hosting a rally and canvass launch for endorsing organizations.
Can you join us for a celebration rally and canvass this Sunday?
100 Days to Go Rally + Canvass
Sun, Feb 23, 12:00pm - 4:00pm
6400 Georgia Ave NW, Washington, DC 20011

Janeese is running to build a district that works for the many, not just the wealthy few. She supports the Reclaim Rent Control platform, has refused to take campaign donations from local utilities and fossil fuel companies, and will invest in neighborhood public schools and universal child care.
By electing Janeese, we have a major opportunity to shift the balance of power in the Wilson Building and elect a proud leftist that will advocate for the working class.
Janeese’s opponent, developer-funded incumbent Brandon Todd, has been a consistent voice for austerity and stood in the way of paid family leave, raising the tipped minimum wage, and much more.
Our chapter isn’t the only group that has recognized Janeese’s strong commitment to building a more just and equitable D.C. Along with DSA, other groups attending the rally will include:
Black Lives Matter D.C.
Jews United for Justice Campaign Fund
D.C. for Democracy
Working Families Party D.C.
Washington Teachers Union
We hope you can join us on Sunday!
In solidarity,
Metro D.C. DSA Ward 4 Electoral Working Group
P.S. If you can’t join us this weekend, we are knocking on doors every weekend from now through the primary for Janeese! Sign up here if you want to stay in the loop on future organizing with this campaign
