July was the hottest month ever recorded across the globe in history. Now more than ever before, climate change is presenting a real danger to our communities, and Chris is doing everything he can to push back. If you're with him in this critical fight, add your name to support stronger action to combat climate change >> ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Chris Coons Date: August 4, 2023 Subject: Climate change is one of the biggest threats facing our communities John, According to a study released by Climate Central, July was the hottest month ever recorded. Not the hottest month this year, or the hottest month of the decade, but the hottest month ever. Chris has always believed climate change is one of the biggest threats facing our communities and our natural resources. We must take big steps if we're going to preserve our environment. That’s one of the reasons why, last year, Chris and his Democratic colleagues passed the Inflation Reduction Act — one of the biggest investments in finding solutions for the climate crisis that will create millions of new jobs in renewable energy in the process. This year, Chris has been working on initiatives to upgrade infrastructure for clean drinking water and support hydrogen technologies to reduce emissions and mitigate global warming, but he knows there's still so much more we can do to fight climate change. Chris is more than ready to continue this vital work – are you with him? Add your name to this petition to recommit to combating climate change →
