If you haven’t read it, the cover story in the Birmingham Times is a must-read. It spells out exactly why Doug Jones is going to win this November.

In case you missed it, here are my biggest takeaways:

1. Doug cares about people. When an interviewer notes how genuine and open a candidate is, that really means something. At his core, Doug really does want to sit down and have thorough, meaningful conversations. It’s why he’s excelled at putting forward real, bipartisan legislation.
2. This campaign really is about One Alabama, for everyone. I can’t say it any better than the Senator himself: “We have the same desires, the same things we’re looking for out of government,” he said. “We all want good health care, good education, good opportunities. We all want to make sure we treat each other with dignity and respect. That’s really ‘One Alabama.’ When I say that, I’m talking about those things we all have in common.”
3. His focus is on meaningfully helping Alabama families. Health care. Trade. Jobs. Education. Keeping food on the table and medical care within reach. He is the only candidate who has consistently delivered real results to the people of this state.

I’m biased here, friend. I’ve always thought that Doug was going to win this race. He’s by far the best candidate – he understands the real issues facing us here in Alabama, he cares deeply about doing the right thing, no matter what, and he is the only candidate actively committed to bringing people together.
If we’re going to build a better future – for Alabama and the entire country – we need Doug Jones in the Senate. I know this team is ready to make history again – and so is he.
