Welcome to the third issue of our weekly summer attractions guide. We're halfway through now and we hope you've been finding inspiration for activities and days out. Today we're bringing you another hand-picked selection.
Whether you're looking for affordable family fun, relaxing weekend activities, or to try something completely new, we guarantee there'll be something for everyone!
National Ice Centre

The National Ice Centre has some exciting activities coming up this summer, whether you want to learn to skate or play, there is something for everyone! The next Summer Holiday Club is from Monday 14 - Friday 18 August for those aged 7-13, with days full of sporting activities and guided arts and crafts, all designed to enhance co-ordination and self-expression.
Take the tots for a special themed parent and tots skating session every Friday throughout August, with under the sea, space adventure and dinosaur themes.
There's also a three-day Ice Hockey Camp from Wednesday 16 - Friday 18 August, for those aged 5-17 to gain over two hours of ice time each day with hockey-themed activities.
Always wanted to learn how to ice skate? NIC offer two options, the traditional learn to skate pathway which takes place once a week (days vary depending on your level), or intensive skating lessons which fits the six-week skating course into just three days! The next courses are Tuesday 15 - Thursday 17 August and Tuesday 22 - Thursday 24 August.
Conkers

Conkers is the ultimate day out for the whole family! Immerse yourself in a world of exploration and discovery at the heart of the National Forest, where you'll find 120 acres of exciting play areas.
Discover the wonders of nature as you explore the play zones nestled among beautiful woodlands and gardens. Feel the earth beneath your feet on the Barefoot Walk, or challenge yourself with the thrilling Activity Trail that stretches across acres of land. Follow the enchanting Fairy Labyrinth and uncover the secrets of a magical tower.
Hop on board the Conkerchoo train ride, and then take to the skies as you conquer the Hi and Lo Ropes courses. Descend into The Warrens, a maze of underground tunnels spanning 70 meters beneath the surface.
Inside the Discovery Centre, you'll find interactive activities that bring the woodland to life, allowing you to chase butterflies and leaves no matter the weather. And get ready for a truly magical experience in the 4D Cinema. The outdoor splash park, Conkers Cove, is complete with play areas and bubbling jets!
