Hosting Service Academy Day
Our district is the proud home of many young men and women who wish to serve their country in our armed forces. My office is hosting a U.S. Service Academy Day on Saturday, September 9th, at 10:00am at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, Ga.
Representatives from the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, along with representatives from several preparatory schools and the GA Army National Guard will be in attendance to explain the nomination process to potential applicants and the requirements for applying to each academy.
Service Academy Day is free and open to the public. Our nation's service academies offer unique opportunities for many students, and I urge interested candidates and their families to attend this event to gain valuable insight about attending our nation's service academies.

Opposing Biden's Anti-Gun Agenda
Last week, news broke that the Biden Administration is intentionally misinterpreting legislation to push their anti-gun agenda by withhold funding from schools that offer hunting and archery programs.
Educational hunting and archery programs allow children to learn useful life skills that promote self-responsibility and provide a needed outlet for our youth. Biden's Department of Education is choosing to bring partisan politics into our schools by eliminating these historically bipartisan-supported programs without strong reasoning.
This is a direct attack on rural America and the Second Amendment. I joined colleagues in sending a letter to the Secretary of Education expressing concerns regarding eliminating these programs and provided data to show their effectiveness and importance.
