Dear NRDC Activist,

I'm a scientist here at NRDC.

For more than 20 years, I've been studying toxic chemicals
and their impacts on our health and our environment.

And I'm horrified by the data I've seen on neonic
pesticides.

These chemicals are dangerous, and we need your help to put
an end to their rampant and reckless misuse now.

Please, help NRDC's team of scientists and campaigners
protect people's health and our environment from neonic
pesticides. Donate just $5 before tonight's deadline and your
gift will be MATCHED $1-for-$1, up to $100,000. ( [link removed] )

Decades ago, when we first saw bees dying off, we feared
for the future of our food supply. Today, we're starting to see
what that future could look like. Important crops like
blueberries, cherries and apples are now limited by declining bee
populations.

Put plainly: fewer bees means less food.

And with less food, we could see food prices skyrocket,
which would make healthier food options a luxury fewer families
can afford. That stands to hit marginalized communities
especially hard.

We're just hours away from our midnight deadline, and we
still need your help.

Donate before MIDNIGHT: Make 2x the impact to defend our
environment and save bees and our food supply from toxic neonic
pesticides. Even $5 helps a lot! ( [link removed] )

Bees are like canaries in the coal mine for broader harms.

What makes neonics lethal to bees makes them harmful to
humans as well, especially young children. Research shows
neonics can pass through the placenta, putting developing fetuses
at increased risk for birth defects of the heart and brain.

Bee colonies wiped out... pollinator species pushed to the
brink of extinction... children poisoned and harmed with
neurological deficits... the evidence cautioning us against the
use of toxic neonics continues to grow by the day.

Will you join our team of scientists, lawyers, and policy
experts as we campaign to end the use of these terribly toxic
pesticides?

Make DOUBLE the impact to power NRDC's campaign to protect
our health and food supply from neonic pesticides. Every donation
will be MATCHED 2x until midnight. Just $5 makes a difference. ( [link removed] )

Thank you for supporting us in this fight.

We — and the bees! — wouldn't be here without you.

Sincerely,

Jenn Sass

Senior Scientist, NRDC

Donations will be used to restrict toxic pesticides, save
pollinators and for other campaigns that allow NRDC to protect
the environment in the most effective way possible.
