It’s August, and that means Congress has all gone back to their respective districts for town halls, constituent meetings, and work in the district, but this time around, this in district work period does not feel the same because the Republican majority has not passed any salient bills to serve the American people before leaving Washington D.C.

It’s the job of the party in power to lead the processes in the House, but rather than putting forth bipartisan, consensus legislation, House Republicans have pushed bills that seek to further limit healthcare access for service members, attack the LGBTQ+ community, and reverse the FDA’s rule to allow the sale of abortion medication.

After all that, House Republicans cut a deal to temporarily keep the Department of Agriculture open, rather than staying in session to work through the all-important Farm Bill, which also deals with food insecurity, one of Jahana’s core issues.

The American people can’t afford this type of inaction and putting partisan politics before the needs of the people. We can’t afford another two years of Republican control of the House!

That’s why we must keep CT-05 blue. Experts agree that CT-05 is one of the most important races in 2024, and if we want to take back the House, we have to keep this swing district blue. Will you donate $25 [[link removed]] to support Jahana’s re-election? [[link removed]]

House Republicans are taking their work for granted. Instead of working on our biggest challenges, they’ve been pushing their extreme agenda. One that most Americans believe is not taking us in the right direction.

We have to take back the House in 2024, and CT-05 is one of just a handful of districts that will determine which party will lead for the next two years.

So please, if you believe that our leaders should be working to solve problems, not push a narrow agenda, help us take back the House in 2024 by keeping CT-05 blue! [[link removed]]
