Far-right House Republicans are eager to impeach President Biden, but they’re not quite sure what for. They’ve said themselves they haven’t even amassed enough evidence to start an impeachment inquiry.

This is absurd. We have a lot of work to do in Congress and plenty of good bills to pass for the American people. First things first, we have to pass legislation to fund the government and avoid a shutdown. That’s just part of the job. Then there are all the other challenges we could be working on. From lowering prescription drug prices and supporting affordable housing to securing our elections and Supreme Court ethics reform, there’s plenty of real work to be done.

Instead of manufacturing an impeachment scandal, how about Congress gets back to the real work it has before it this year?
