John, Having an openly LGBTQ elected official in your state legislature is a huge benefit. Just ask the people of Virginia. Even though the legislative year just started, our LGBTQ elected officials are already hard at work: passing non-discrimination bills, banning conversion therapy, updating hate crimes legislation to include protections for LGBTQ people, and repealing Virginia's ban on marriage equality. Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, one of our Candidate & Campaign Training alums, has a whole slate of legislation that will benefit Virginia's LGBTQ community. With your help, we can train and support even more LGBTQ leaders like Danica. Will you donate $10 or more today to support our candidate trainings? Danica is not alone. She is just one of our amazing trainees who have gone on to win elected office and make positive, lasting change in their communities. Colorado state Representatives Leslie Herod and Brianna Titone are busy defeating a number of bills targeting the trans community. Councilmember Andrea Jenkins led the charge to ban conversion therapy in Minneapolis and is now working to ban the harmful practice across Minnesota. We want to train even more amazing LGBTQ leaders like Danica, Leslie, Brianna and Andrea who will make huge changes in their states. Chip in $10 or more to support our candidate trainings! Thanks again for your support, Reggie Greer, Director of Constituent Engagement |
