John,
Members of Congress are back in their home states and districts for August recess and it’s imperative they hear from us about their plans for essential human needs programs.
Already, thousands of supporters like you have sent letters to Congresspeople urging them to host town halls this month. Town halls are essential for fostering transparency and accountability in our democracy. But that’s not all!
We’re also partnering with and supporting state-based advocacy organizations in our shared struggle to prevent devastating caps and cuts to WIC and food security, housing and homelessness, child care, and education for early childhood and beyond.
We’re demanding Congress listen and respond to their constituents and those who would be most impacted by these caps and cuts. Donate $5 today to fight back and support millions of people from vulnerable communities.

We’re not taking this lying down. CHN is using every resource available to us to protect early childhood education, essential nutrition programs for the elderly, people with disabilities, infants and postpartum parents. It’s imperative that we join together at this time and let our elected leaders know that the majority of us support these needed programs and don’t want to see them cut.
We’re in some challenging times, but with your continued support, I know we can make it through.
Thank you for all that you do,
Meredith Dodson Senior Director of Public Policy, Coalition on Human Needs

John,
Congress is in recess this month, but we’re not letting that stop us from advocating for human needs programming and battling funding cuts to essential programs. In fact, we’re heating things up!
We’re fighting back against draconian cuts to TANF, eligibility changes for SNAP and Medicaid that will leave many without access to nutrition and health care, and we’re doing everything we can to prevent proposed cuts to WIC and Head Start.
We will not allow Congress to kick people off of their health insurance and make drastic cuts to nutrition and early childhood learning programs without hearing from us first. Donate to CHN today to keep the pressure on Congress throughout August recess and fight for human needs.
FIGHT FOR HUMAN NEEDS
Supporters like you have already sent thousands of messages to your members of Congress, urging them to hold town halls this summer to speak directly with the people most impacted by these proposed cuts. It’s essential that the people elected to represent us answer to us directly.
In addition to critical direct actions, we’re also partnering with and supporting state-based advocacy organizations on issues like WIC and food security, housing and homelessness, child care, and education for early childhood and beyond.
With conservatives in the House demanding caps and cuts even deeper than what were agreed to in the debt ceiling negotiations, we’ve got a tough road ahead. But we know our fight is a righteous one and, with your support, we know that we will win.
Chip in $5 today to fight back against draconian cuts to essential human needs programs.
