ACTION SPOTLIGHT
ACT NOW: Urge the USPS to Purchase Clean
Vehicles Without Delay
The Postal Service’s replacement of its
aging delivery fleet over the next few years is vital.
If the USPS fails to maximize the number of battery electric
vehicles in the fleet, they will be locked into decades of fossil
fuel vehicles operating in communities across the U.S., resulting
in higher maintenance and fuel costs, worse air quality, and
increased climate impacts.
Thanks to NRDC activists like you, the Postal Service has finally
gotten the message that cleaner vehicles are a win all around.
Now is the time. Tell the USPS that
they must commit to maximizing the number of battery electric
vehicles built with high-quality jobs in its fleet and do so
without delay. ( [link removed] )

CAMPAIGN UPDATE
LAST CHANCE: Tell EPA to Cut Carbon
Pollution to Tackle the Climate Crisis
Only a few days left to voice your
support of EPA’s proposed standards that would significantly cut
climate-busting carbon emissions from coal- and gas-fired power
plants. The comment period is closing 8/8, and we desperately
need your help before then.
Cleaning up electricity production is
critical: power plants that burn coal and gas are responsible for
one-third of U.S. carbon emissions. Existing fossil power plants
currently face NO federal limits on their carbon pollution they
emit, so EPA's proposed standards are urgently needed.
EPA should implement the strongest
possible carbon pollution standards – and quickly – to confront
the mounting dangers of the worsening climate crisis and save
lives. This is your last chance to make
your voice heard.
Urge EPA to cut carbon pollution and
tackle the climate crisis by finalizing the most ambitious carbon
limits rule possible before the 8/8 deadline. ( [link removed] )

* Protect the Endangered Species Act — Reverse Trump-era
Rollbacks: ( [link removed] ) In 2019, the Trump Administration tried to rewrite the success
story that is the Endangered Species Act with short-sighted,
anti-scientific rollbacks in a blatant attempt to eviscerate
protections for the most imperiled species in our country. Now,
in response to a federal lawsuit, we have a chance to reverse
some of those attacks and get this story back on track. Take
