A New York Times poll last week found President Biden and Donald Trump statistically tied, 43%-43%, even after Trump’s outrageous attempts to overturn the election following Joe Biden’s victory in 2020.

That’s alarming. And a flashing red warning sign that we can’t take anything for granted in this next election.

The first GOP presidential debate is later this month, but the way that Trump is dominating the field, it looks exceedingly likely that we’re in for a rematch of the 2020 election.

We cannot falter. We cannot grow complacent. We cannot take the 2024 result for granted.

A second Donald Trump presidency would be a disaster. And we cannot in good conscience stand by while his campaign gains the momentum to crush his GOP opponents and win the nomination.
