Friends – 58 years ago today, Congress took monumental action and passed the Voting Rights Act.
It was a transformational step towards expanding the right to vote and ending racial discrimination at the ballot box.
Now, decades later, MAGA Republicans are vying to roll back these voting rights.
They want our country to go backwards.
I want our country to move forward.
That’s why I’m asking you to become a citizen co-sponsor of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, named for the late civil rights hero and my friend, Congressman John Lewis.
The time for ACTION on protecting voting rights is NOW.
