On a sunny spring day, the sky is speckled with bright orange and black creatures fluttering between trees, flowers, gardens, and prairies. You may see these soft beauties roam through playgrounds and picnics, landing to greet us with their grace and charm. The monarch butterfly has returned north after its migration in the cold winter months.

The monarchs are ready to lay their eggs on the only source of food for their soon-to-hatch offspring--milkweed plants. But there seems to be less milkweed and less milkweed available.  Where has all the milkweed gone, Friend?

The Western monarch butterfly population has PLUMMETTED by 90%  in recent decades  due, in part,  to the disappearance of milkweed plants. A major  driver of the milkweed decline? Toxic herbicides like Bayer-Monsanto’s glyphosate – aka Roundup - which KILLS milkweed. Use of Roundup in agriculture has skyrocketed in recent decades thanks to Bayer-Monsanto’s Roundup Ready corn and soy. Less milkweed means less monarch butterfly reproduction.

Our fluttering friends need your help, Friend. Please take less than 60 seconds right now to tell Bayer-Monsanto to stop selling toxic chemicals and help PROTECT monarch butterflies from extinction by 11:59pm TONIGHT>>

Glyphosate is not only lethal to milkweed but is also harmful to human health. Studies have linked this toxic chemical to serious health risks such as cancer, reproductive problems, and hormone disruption -- with children being the most vulnerable to exposure!

That’s not the worst of it, Friend. Bayer-Monsanto has been MANIPULATING science and EVADING regulations while LYING to the public about the dangers of their toxic pesticides. They continue to profit at the expense of the planet and human health.

We know environmentalists like you, Friend will not stand for these lies! Sign the petition TONIGHT to demand that  Bayer-Monsanto stop harming monarch butterflies, our health, and our planet!

Thanks for your urgent action to protect our pollinators,
Friends of the Earth
