Presidential primaries can be a bit daunting to follow. The stories and polling seem to break by the hour, and everyone is trying to predict what will happen even before the votes are cast. It can easily turn into a whirlwind of partisanship and negative politics. Even President Trump, whose party has upended their own rules to protect him from a challenge, can’t help but throw insults and accusations at candidates in the Democratic primary.
It’s easy to feel like nothing more than a spectator in a game that’s too big for us to impact.
We’re much more powerful than that, however. We have to change the way we think about our elections. Every candidate in the presidential race has the potential to impact our country. So we have to be involved across parties.

That requires breaking the chains of partisanship. It means rooting for *good* candidates in opposing parties, not the ones that you think are easiest to beat. It means convincing your family, friends, and neighbors to put country over party.
