Hint: It's bad.

John, Republicans just showed their hand for 2024 — and there’s not a green thumb in sight.

Hundreds of conservative operatives outlined a 920-page plan they’ve dubbed “Project 2025” that Trump — or any Republican — could use to purge climate action from the federal government. And folks, this plan is an all-out attack on our climate.

We won’t pull any punches here, team — this plan is scary. Among other devastating blows to our climate policy, Project 2025 would:

❌ Block the expansion of the electrical grid for wind and solar energy.
❌ Slash funding for the Environmental Protection Agency’s environmental justice office.
❌ Shutter the Energy Department’s renewable energy offices.
❌ Prevent states from adopting California’s car pollution standards.
❌ Delegate more regulation of polluting industries to Republican state officials.

And the worst part of this plan? It’s designed to be implemented on the first day of a Republican presidency.

Look: We saw the way Trump derailed our environmental policies back when he was in office. But now? The entire Republican Party is on board to decimate our climate fight and reverse the climate gains we’ve fought so hard to make.

Republicans’ latest affront to our climate is poised to make 2024 the most consequential election for our planet. That’s why we need to start building our arsenal now. If you’re ready to stop this plan from becoming our reality, please rush a contribution of any amount so we can continue championing climate defenders like President Biden and our SEEC Members.

2022 showed us exactly what happens when we put climate at the front and center of our elections: Climate leaders win. Let’s show Republicans exactly how committed we are to a healthier, more sustainable future for our planet by keeping them out of office in 2024.
