Hi friends,

Delivering resources to communities in Central and Southern Illinois is one of Nikki’s top priorities in Congress.

And earlier this week, Nikki joined U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and several Illinois elected officials to announce two new major, federally-funded infrastructure projects that she worked hard to secure.

The first project is a $22.6 million federal grant to eliminate a dangerous rail crossing in the Village of Savoy — and the second is $28 million in U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) federal funding toward repairing damages on the MetroLink public transit system, following devistating floods last year.

Our communities thrive when we’re all connected, so it’s critical that we invest in our infrastructure and public transportation so that every person — regardless of income level, race, background or zip code — can access every part of our region.

Nikki looks forward to improving transportation efficiency and jump-starting economic growth throughout our district as a result of these major investments.

If you support Nikki’s work to bring federal funding back to our district, so we can build communities where all of us thrive, will you reaffirm your support by signing on now? [go.nikkiforcongress.com/a/njb-infrastructure-investments]

Thank you for standing with us as we work toward investing in our people and economy.
