When I am out at events in the district, one of the questions I am asked
most often is why I am running for Congress in the first place.

The answer is simple: After Donald Trump was elected, I spent the next few
years working to defeat extreme MAGA Republicans all over the country.
That effort was a big success as the organization I launched, The Next 50,
was responsible for some big wins in a number of battleground districts in
the 2020 election.

So after the midterms, when I saw that George Santos — a serial liar and
complete fraud, just like Trump himself — would be representing my home
district, I knew I had to put my experience to use and jump in the race to
defeat him.

But just like we did all over the country during the Trump presidency, we
are going to need to build a huge grassroots movement capable of winning
in what will be one of the most contested districts next November.
