Help Equip Your Church & Pastor for the 2020 Election Season

This week, early voting started in Texas’ March 3 Primary Election. Texas Values is committed to ensuring that churches and pastors in Texas are equipped to know their rights as it relates to elections. Many churches and pastors feel called by scripture to “equip the saints” to represent Christ in all areas of our society, including the voting booth. Pastors should thus be supported in their goal of helping their members be good stewards in representing Christ in their civic duties. This is especially important in light of the fact that only one out of every four Christians in America is voting.

Unfortunately, many churches and pastors have been given false information in an attempt to
scare them from acting as a pastor and impacting their culture for Christ. The law is actually very supportive of pastors and churches in fulfilling their mission to equip their saints. Even as a non-profit corporation, there is very little a church may not do. Please watch our new video and share our churches and elections handout to help equip your church and pastor.

Austin ISD Hit for Unauthorized Sex-Ed

Texas Values’ press conference last week exposed that Alberta Health Services, a Canadian abortion provider, did not authorize use of their copyrighted sex education curriculum to Austin ISD. “Since the school district was using materials that they were not authorized to do, the vote that Austin ISD took on those unauthorized materials is also unauthorized,” said Jonathan Saenz, president of Texas Values, at the press conference. A great piece in The Texan shares more details.
