Breaking news: This week, I filed a brief
supporting the legal challenge to Idaho’s unconstitutional and cruel
   abortion travel ban.
I explain what this means and why I did it below, but first: [ [link removed] ]Can you
pitch in a donation to my campaign today to make sure our next Governor
respects the reproductive freedom of all Washingtonians?
The radical Idaho legislature passed a bill that makes it illegal to help
minors travel for abortion care without parental consent. It even labels
   this conduct as “abortion trafficking.”
My legal brief makes clear the Constitution protects the right to travel
between states. Idaho’s anti-choice politicians cannot unilaterally take
   away that right.
This is not my first time taking on Idaho’s attacks on reproductive
   freedom.
Last month, I led a coalition of 15 attorneys general to support Planned
Parenthood as they challenged a law prohibiting providers from making
   out-of-state referrals for abortion care.
What’s happening in Idaho directly affects us in Washington. Their
abortion travel ban also punishes providers and residents who assist
minors in legally obtaining abortion care in our state.
Due to Idaho’s multiple abortion restrictions, our clinics reported an
unprecedented 75% increase in patients from Idaho between January 2022 and
   early 2023.
As Governor, I’ll continue my work fighting against anti-choice attacks.

Governor is a champion of reproductive freedom.
Defending reproductive freedom goes beyond fighting against restrictions.
It’s also expanding access to reproductive care. That’s why I led a
national effort that protected the availability of the abortion pill
mifepristone — a huge victory for reproductive justice for millions of
Washingtonians and people across the country.
I also championed the My Health, My Data Act, which prohibits websites and
apps from collecting and selling consumer health data. For example, health
apps that track your period can sell that sensitive information to data
brokers, including anti-choice groups and law enforcement in states with
strict anti-abortion laws. My bill, adopted by the legislature, stopped
   this in its tracks.
If I am elected to be Washington’s next Governor, I will bring the same
energy and results. I will keep fighting to defend reproductive rights for
   everyone.
