[1]Voting While Black

Hey John. Since I emailed you last Sunday, over 600 people have
donated to support our crucial work to get Jackie Lacey out of the LA
District Attorney's office. We only have 12 days until the primary
election and quite frankly, we still need all the help we can get.

The future of the Los Angeles criminal justice system depends on this
District Attorney's race. Will you donate right now to help Color Of
Change PAC educate thousands of Black people in LA about the DA's race
before March 3rd? 600 people already have. Click below to select a
donation amount that feels right for you.

P.S -- Here's the email I sent to your inbox last Sunday explaining how
urgent this District Attorney's race is for Black people in Los Angeles.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I’m going to keep it real with you -- we’re short on funds before the Los
Angeles primary race.

We’ve got 16 days until one of the most important District Attorney’s
races of our lifetime. But in order to educate thousands of Black voters
about why we need to get Jackie Lacey out of LA District Attorney’s
office, we need to raise money and we’re about $8,797 short of our goal
right now.

You have two choices, John.

* Choice 1: [ [link removed] ]You donate right now to help Color Of Change PAC contact
as many Black voters as possible before the March 3rd primary
election. Because of your help, we’re able to scale up our events,
afford basic necessities for our community office (including a
printer, scanner, phones, copier, shredder, chairs, janitorial
supplies, water), and send texts to voters. Without your help, we will
struggle to acquire these necessities.

* Choice 2: You focus only on the presidential race and assume someone
else will think about state and local elections. Unfortunately,
everyone else assumes the same thing. Current DA Jackie Lacey has over
$1 million in funding from law enforcement organizations and
anti-reform groups.^1 They want to keep her in office so she can
continue protecting cops that kill Black and brown people.

Ultimately, it’s your choice, John. And I hope you [ [link removed] ]choose to
invest in our fight to make LA safer for Black people by electing George
Gascón for District Attorney. After 8 long years of misconduct in the DAs
office, we finally have a chance at progressive criminal justice reform.
Los Angeles police officers are killing Black people, and DA Lacey
continues to turn a blind eye.

So, will you select choice 1 and invest in our movement?
