His bipartisan efforts helped lower energy prices for New Mexicans to stay warm during cold winter months. Early in his term, Congressman Vasquez introduced a bipartisan economic development package, broadening economic opportunities throughout the district, including the Expanding Regional Airports Act to bring in federal funding to regional airports, the Economic Opportunity For Border Communities Act which expands trade opportunities in New Mexico’s border towns, and the Farm Workforce Support Act which ensure the essential agriculture sector in our state can thrive.
Congressman Vasquez also discusses his role on the Farm Bill, which will better New Mexico’s rural development efforts, agricultural economy, water and environmental conservation projects, and food security.
