The right to safe, accessible abortion and reproductive healthcare services is protected here in California, but since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade , almost 1 in 3 women across the country have lost that same access.

This latest attack aims to criminalize medical professionals and people outside of Idaho who provide abortion information or assistance to Idaho minors in other states. That means California healthcare professionals and others could be punished for helping young people obtain a perfectly legal abortion outside of Idaho.

Abortion IS healthcare, and in many cases, it can be life-saving . This cruel law infringes on the rights of Californians and threatens the health and safety of Idaho’s minors — we cannot let it stand.
