John,
A few days ago, Indiana’s six abortion clinics stopped providing abortions due to the state’s near-total abortion ban.
And last month, the House voted to overturn a policy guaranteeing abortion access to members of the military.
These are not isolated incidents, John, but the concerning reality in a world without Roe. Right now, 15 states have near-total abortion bans, Republicans in Congress have proposed a national abortion ban, and access to Mifepristone, a safe and legal drug used in medical abortions, is under attack and headed to the Supreme Court.
We must stand against these attacks on a woman’s right to reproductive healthcare. As a doctor I know firsthand the impact of denying healthcare to patients in need, and if elected to Congress I will oppose these restrictions. Will you chip in anything to help fuel my campaign so I can work to protect those rights and codify Roe into federal law?
Ending the constitutional right to abortion paved the way for broader attacks on reproductive rights, with state legislatures creating new barriers not just for abortion, but for birth control access, doctors providing patient care, and much more.
As a surgeon, I have seen firsthand the damage caused by these harmful decisions. Abortion care is healthcare – and we need a leader who knows how important it is to expand healthcare access instead of creating life-threatening obstacles.
John, we need to codify Roe into law, and we need to take back our House majority to do so. Will you chip in right away to help us defend this seat so I can be one more voice in Congress toward reinstituting our life-saving abortion protections?
