All Americans deserve to be treated with dignity by their employers. That’s why I believe so strongly in a fair minimum wage. There is no reason that hard-working Americans should suffer from wages that are inadequate to take care of themselves and their families. Minimum wage earners are more likely than other groups to spend their money to stimulate the economy, and an increase in their pay will have ripple effects that will improve the wages of middle-class earners as well.
