Dear John

This time last week I was in the middle of my busiest day of the year so far.

It started at 5am as I whizzed around London’s news studios on a media round. From there it was off to the restaurant where they film ‘First Dates’, to formally launch my campaign, and by the evening I was locked into debate at the first major hustings of the campaign.

It was as exhausting as it was exhilarating. But I’m so pleased with how well people are responding to the campaign and I’m really excited about continuing to speak to people in the coming weeks.

One thing that the BBC highlighted about my speech was my commitment to kindness. This is something I make no apology for. <[link removed]> I am proud to put compassion and kindness at the heart of my politics and I believe that it’s needed now more than ever.

Read on to see who my favourite performer at the BRITS was, why TfL continues to be in a mess and a round-up of all the coverage from my launch.

Kind regards

Siobhan Benita

Lib Dem Candidate for Mayor of London

p.s. You might have seen this video of me getting shared a lot on Facebook <[link removed]>, it’s from when I was talking about knife crime on the BBC. Check it out.

One of the things I love about London is its brilliant music scene and artists like Dave are incredibly moving when they speak truth to power like this.
