We're less than a week away from our biggest event of the year — our 2023 State Dinner. And trust me, you won't want to miss it.
Not only will the evening feature the graduation of the third cohort of the Indiana Republican Diversity Leadership Series, but it will also feature a keynote address from Congressman and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jim Banks. Congressman Banks has been a fighter for Hoosier values in the halls of Congress since 2017, standing up for our veterans and working to hold China accountable for its role in the fentanyl crisis that has harmed communities across the country, including here in Indiana.
Next Thursday at 7 p.m., join Congressman Banks, Bowie, MD Mayor Pro Tem Roxy Ndebumadu, and hundreds of your fellow Republicans as we prepare for the fight for victory in 2024.
Click here to get your tickets while you still can. Sincerely, |

One year ago yesterday, we lost Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, her district director and St. Joseph County Republican Party chairman, Zach Potts, her communications director, Emma Thomson, and Edith Schmucker in a tragic car accident in northern Indiana. The magnitude of these losses is still felt to this day, but we find comfort in knowing that their lives will not be forgotten.
For we will always remember Jackie and her unmatched passion for her constituents, her fierce advocacy for our veterans and those in need, and her desire to leave the world a better place; Zach and his dedication to the St. Joseph County Republican Party, the Indiana Republican Party, and the Second Congressional District; and Emma and her unparalleled work ethic in our nation's capital and her distinguished career of public service.
May God bless Jackie, Zach, Emma, and Edith. |
National Review: Hunter Sought ‘Credit’ with Burisma Execs for Then-VP Biden’s Ukraine Trip, Cited Dad’s Speech as Evidence of Influence |
From National Review:
"Hunter Biden and his business partner Devon Archer pitched then-Vice President Joe Biden’s official April 2014 visit to Ukraine — and the contents of a speech he delivered while there — as evidence of their influence and value to the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, according to emails obtained by the House Oversight Committee.
"Writing to Archer ahead of his father’s scheduled visit to Ukraine, Hunter argued that they should characterize the trip as the result of their influence in conversations with Burisma executives who would, days after the emails were exchanged, appoint each of them to the company’s board at a rate of $83,000 per month each. Not wanting to set expectations too high, Hunter stipulated that they should make sure their Burisma colleagues understood that they did not have direct control over the vice president’s actions or speech.
“'The announcement of my guy’s upcoming travels should be characterized as part of our advice and thinking — but what he will say and do is out of our hands,” the younger Biden wrote to Archer, referring to his father. “In other words, it could be a really good thing or it could end up creating too great an expectation. We need to temper expectations regarding that visit.'”

NBC News: Note Cards and Shorter Stairs: How Biden's Campaign is Addressing His Age |
From NBC News: "The president of the United States tripping and falling is never a good moment in the throes of a re-election campaign. But when the president is 80 years old and already faces concerns that he’s too old for another term, it’s something of a crisis.
"Joe Biden’s aides realized they had a problem last month when the president tripped over a sandbag — hard — at the Air Force Academy’s graduation ceremony. Afterward, during a post-event recap, a few aides tried to figure out what may have gone wrong and how to make sure that such an embarrassing and dangerous incident “never happens again,” according to two people familiar with the discussion.
“'You can’t be too careful,' one said.
"Biden’s answer to voters who question whether he’s up to the rigors of a second term is simple: 'Watch me.' The trouble is, voters are watching, and what they’re seeing is hardening impressions that it’s time for him to step aside, polling shows. Apart from being the most taxing job on the world stage, the presidency is also the most public, and signs of advancing age are tough to miss."
