It's Jen Schultz - I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt request to join me in this fight for a stronger, thriving 8th District. Our rural communities are struggling, and it’s time we step up and support them.

During my campaign in 2022, I had the opportunity to meet with people from all corners of Minnesota’s 8th District. These conversations confirmed my belief that we need to increase investments in rural Minnesota.

Rural communities are the backbone of our great state, and yet, they face unique challenges that often go unnoticed by those in power. Rural hospitals and nursing homes are closing, and small-town schools and colleges are suffering from a lack of funding, putting additional pressure on property taxpayers. Farmers are aging and the farmers that remain are working harder than ever to feed their families. Alcohol use, drug abuse, and suicide are all too common in rural communities.

Enough is enough. Our rural neighbors are tired of feeling neglected and unheard. They’re yearning for a government that truly represents them and I, for one, am committed to being their voice and their advocate.

I was raised in a small town, and I understand the strength of community bonds. We supported one another in times of need, and that spirit still lives within me.

I promise to show up, listen, and fight like never before for rural Minnesotans because their struggles are worth fighting for. I am committed to amplifying their voices and ensuring that their concerns are at the forefront of our legislative agenda.
