Last night, I hosted my friend and Senate colleague Sherrod Brown in Denver to help him with his re-election campaign. I’m going to explain why this is so important, but if you want to cut to the chase, click here and chip in whatever you can to help Sherrod.
Sherrod and I have worked together for a long time and we’ve made great progress for Colorado and Ohio. In 2015, we started working together on the American Families Act, which became the expanded Child Tax Credit that we passed in 2021. In that same bill, we also passed the expanded EITC for childless workers.
We kept nearly 4 million kids out of poverty and supported millions of American workers. Now, we’re working together again to make both policies permanent.
Sherrod believes in the “dignity of work” – the idea that hard work should pay off for everyone, no matter who you are, where you live, or what kind of work you do.
He always says, "Whether you punch a time clock or swipe a badge, earn a salary or make tips, are raising children or caring for an aging parent, I will fight for you."
That’s why I’m reaching out to you today, team , to ask if you’ll split a contribution between my campaign and Sherrod’s today.
We need leaders like Sherrod Brown in the Senate. If we want to maintain our Senate majority and make progress on the most pressing issues like creating an economy that works for everyone, not just a few at the top, we need to do everything we can to re-elect Sherrod Brown.
