Dear John,

As a fifth generation Montanan and avid outdoorsman, I understand how important it is to support our public lands. In Montana, hunting, fishing, backpacking and exploring the great outdoors is part of our way of life. That’s why, in 2020 I worked hard to get the "Great American Outdoors Act” signed into law.

This bill was one of the greatest conservation victories in the last 50 years. Republicans and Democrats came together to pass this historic bill that invests in our parks, public lands and outdoor recreation economies as well as permanently funds the Land and Water Conservation program.

Today marks three years since it was signed into law, and to celebrate, all national parks are free to enter! As a kid growing up in Bozeman, I have fond memories visiting our national parks and it’s a tradition I’ve passed down to my children and grandchildren. I hope you take this opportunity to get outside and enjoy the unparalleled beauty that the Treasure State has to offer.

Montana Proud,

Senator Steve Daines

Should we be fighting to protect our Montana public lands and Montana way of life?
