By now, you’ve hopefully seen that America’s credit rating was downgraded earlier this week… for just the second time in our history. 

I’m outraged and, frankly, embarrassed by it. You should be, too. Generations of all-talk, no action Washington politicians have driven America’s debt to an unsustainable level. 

We can be better than that. We must be better than that. 

The first pains of a credit downgrade are seen on the stock market. The second will be felt in hardworking Americans’ wallets. 

I’ve lived through tough times in business and governed through them here in Georgia. 

When times get hard, you make tough decisions to survive over the long-term. We did that in Georgia, and as a result our credit rating today is better than the nation’s. 

Rest assured, I’m going to continue doing everything I can to help hardworking families fight back against Washington’s incompetence. (I can think of a few other words, and I’m sure you can too.) 

In the meantime, if you have $3 to spare and you’re fed up with how things are going in DC, send it to the Hardworking Americans team.

They know what they’re doing, they know how to win, and they’re leaving it all on the field to win Georgia and support conservatives who aren’t afraid of big problems.
