  • Today, former President Donald Trump was arraigned in Washington, D.C. following his indictment on four counts relating to his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. He pleaded not guilty. 

  • Today is also the special election to re-elect Tennessee Reps. Justin Jones (D) and Justin Pearson (D) to the state House after the lawmakers were expelled by the Republican-controlled legislative chamber for protesting against gun violence. Find your polling place here.

  • Yesterday, in the latest update from Alabama, a federal judge selected the plaintiffs' proposed cartographer to assist in litigation over the state's congressional map "should they become necessary to assist the Court in the event the Court determined it had to prepare a new map."
