John, Donald Trump's crimes just keep adding up.

Now, he has been indicted for a third time – with federal charges for his attempt to overturn the 2020 election. It's about time, but make no mistake: That is not all he's guilty of.

That's why I'm the lead plaintiff in a civil suit against Trump to hold him accountable for inciting the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection. 

I still remember that day – being told that we had to hit the floor. We were lucky to have made it out safely when we did. This was a dangerous moment, not only for individual members of Congress and the personnel in the Capitol, but for our very democracy as well.

But the recent charges against Trump make a couple things clear: He is not immune from the consequences of his actions. He is not above the law. 

I refuse to let up in this fight for justice and accountability, and I'm running for Senate to take on GOP extremism and make sure that an attack on our democracy this severe never happens again. 

That's precisely why MAGA extremists and Fox News have a history of attacking my progressive record, and I need your immediate grassroots support to make sure I'm prepared for their next attack. But, with time running out before our midnight fundraising deadline, I'm still $2,291 short of my goal – and I'm really counting on this money to withstand the GOP's attacks.
