Dear Friend,

I have received many thank you emails from Prayer Warriors before and after the August 1st livestream of the Holy Mass, concelebrated by Raymond Cardinal Burke and Archbishop Cardileone, along with 50+ members of the clergy, who are canon lawyers, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Here are a few highlights from Cardinal Burke’s homily. His Eminence first greeted all those who were present, then the Prayer Warriors of Operation Storm Heaven. He encouraged us in our daily praying of the Holy Rosary, for the many needs of the Church and the world, in our day.

“Coming on pilgrimage to the Shrine, we ask the Mother of God, to draw us nearer to her Divine Son, as she did for the wine steward, at the wedding feast at Cana, in making us evermore obedient to her maternal counsel –do whatever He tells you.”

“We pray to be one in heart, to her Immaculate Heart, resting our hearts always securely in the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.”

“The Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, stood at the foot of the cross, one in heart, with the Heart of Jesus. When His Heart was pierced, so too, her Immaculate Heart was mystically pierced, in accord with her enduring mission of the Mother of Divine Grace. We strive to imitate the Mother of God, even daily, as we call upon her intercession, so that our hearts may participate ever more fully, in the pure and selfless love of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. So that we, with Mary, may communicate to others the love of the Heart of Jesus.”

“Mary draws our hearts to her own, so that she may lead us to give our hearts to her Divine Son, most especially by the means of the service of justice in the church – consecrate our minds and hearts, to the mind and heart of Jesus, under the direction and protection of the Mother of God, whom Christ gave to us as our Mother, when he was dying upon the Cross.”

“At a time of great confusion, regarding the moral teaching of the Church”, St. Alphonsus held steadfastly to the word of Christ, as it is handed down to us in the Church.  He understood the meaning of the word of Christ, in the Sermon on the Mount: “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets, I have come not to abolish them but to fulfill them, for truly I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law, until all is accomplished.”  Whoever then relaxes the least of these Commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven but he who does them and teaches them, shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven. St. Alphonsus understood that Christ had come into the world in order that he might win for us the grace to live according to God’s law, written upon every human heart and according to the laws of which He gives to us in His Holy Church.  For the sake of our growth in faith, hope and love, Christ did not come to advance laxism or rigorism, He did not come to teach or promote an ideology of the law, He came, rather, to give us the freedom which disposes us to cooperate with God’s grace, in all things."

"In fact, as the Gospel makes clear, Our Lord condemned those who would fail in their duty to obey the law and to teach it to others.”
