Folks, as I was often reminded during my childhood, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”

And as we approach six months of Republicans controlling the House, I’m really running low on nice things to say to a whining bunch of right-wing obstructionists, insurrectionists, and extremists.

So instead, can I ask you to chip in $15 to support my re-election campaign if you'd like to help Democrats retake the House majority and send the MAGA majority packing?

As Alice Roosevelt (daughter of Teddy) once said, “If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit next to me.”

I agree; there’s no place for one-sided civility and faux politeness when dealing with cruelty and malice.

Change requires courage and conviction. It requires a willingness to tell the truth, even when the truth isn’t pretty.

That’s why I’ve never been afraid to level with you, folks; to call it like it is – good, bad, and ugly.

So I’ll continue having those tough but necessary conversations wherever I can. But first, I’ll need your support to remain a voice for truth and democracy in Washington. Will you pitch in $15 to join this fight?
