In less than two weeks, on March 4, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in June Medical Services v. Russo (formerly June Medical Services v. Gee). The case challenges a law in Louisiana—identical to a Texas law declared unconstitutional in 2016—that would leave the state with only one clinic providing abortion care.

This is the first major abortion case to reach our highest court since Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch were confirmed. The stakes could not be higher—this case could shape the future of abortion access in the U.S.
